Originally by: Brawl Bodar I have similar issues since the last patch. Before Trinity 1.1.2 everything was running perfectly fine. Now I need to try to log on multiple times as the client is crashing before loading station environment. Even in game I do get a lot of random disconnects..
All that didn't happen before the 1.1.2 patch.
I am running Vista 64 Bit Business engl btw.
What I tried so far:
Cleared cache folder Reinstalled EVE client rebooted my WiFi router (didn't do that in more than one year!) disabled audio, hardware acceleration on the EVE client installed classic version.. put EVE in compatibility mode (XP SP2)
No change whatsoever..
Got a ping time of <50ms to the tranquility server. Whenever I get disconnected I can see three packets that take about 500 ms
As said before: This didn't happen before the trinity 1.1.2 patch..
THIS.
I am running winXP with SP3. I have 2g of ram and a nvidia 7800. I have not done what the above poster has, but I was planning on it (with the addition of updating my graphics card drivers if necessary).
This morning I could not log in at all. The only thing that allowed me to get in eventually was setting to full screen mode from windowed and switching to classic graphics.
I also notice I get the most disconnects during session changes and after I close out the client for one character and try to log into another (on another account). I've had limited success with quitting completely and giving it about a minute before switching characters. That may just be coincidence though.

I too am experiencing the random disconnects. The disconnects usually occur when changing sessions, logging out of one character and into another using the "Log Off" button, and when interacting with the market. This problem was more prone to happen in systems with a lot of lag. The disconnects started with the release and installation of the 1.1.2 patch. However, I believe I have found the cause of my issue.
Disabling my firewall (Zone Alarm) and using windows firewall 'fixed' the issue I was having. I ran just windows firewall for a few days and I had no disconnects.
I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Zone Alarm. I am going to monitor this for a few days and see if this resolves the issue for me or not.

Originally by: Liranan Zone Alarm is a pretty bad firewall. It doesn't do much unfortunately, it's nearly as good as Windows firewall.
Thank you for your input.

Originally by: Leandro Salazar My disconnect problems especially on logging in seem to have something to do with my firewall (Zonealarm). Thats what I got as petition reply, and it seems to be spot on for a change, since whenever I turn it off, I never get these disconnects. EVE has all allowances though and nothing has changed on my end at all since the last patches, so CCP seems to have screwed something up, since it worked perfectly fine before.
I had the same issue (you may see a few of my posts above). I uninstalled zonealarm then downloaded and installed zonealarm again. I have not had the issue happen since.
